Clonk

Clonk got open sourced! Welcome OpenClonk. Clonky! It seems to be the indie game fashion at the moment what with 0AD and all. What is Clonk?

Clonk is a multiplayer-action-tactic-skill game. It is often referred to as a mixture of The Settlers and Worms.

So, the Clonk developers open sourced it, but since backwards compatability is a big problem for them, they ditched all Clonk content and are asking the community to contribute new game content. Judging by the forum, the community looks very active, it's a case of 'watch this space' I guess.

The above video is the "Clonk Rage" trailer. I got the impression this is what has been open sourced although I'm not sure how of the levels/content came with it, if at all. Perhaps somebody could check out the source and see where it is up to?

Despite the lack of Free Gamer activity, the FOSS game scene is as active as ever.

Some new releases that should have been mentioned earlier:

  Its got graphics but is also the winner of the 2009 Ascii Dreams Roguelike of the Year award


• And last but not least: Yo Frankie! 1.1 (announcement)
  
  Includes the 3 winning levels from the level design competition, with additional improvements

I probably should make more of a fuss over Yo Frankie! than I do - it does look absolutely stunning as you can see in the following video - and it could yet become an important starting platform for creating other types Free games using it's materials and gameplay as a foundation:

Well, so, that's some stuff we already knew about, but what about some things we don't?

Skyscraper: A first-person 3D virtual building simulator. Perhaps not a game. I report, you decide.

Wesnoth + Bloodbowl + a blender = Wesbowl! It's early days (0.1 alpha) but good to see somebody having a bash.

Grandwing is a game being developed to be similar in gameplay to the game Spyro the Dragon.

And world's worst website award goes to... *drumroll* ...ok, I'm not going to say its the worst, but the site for YSFlight (an open source flight sim) has to be a contender.

Star Ocean Second Evolution

This was originally made for the PlayStation console and ported to PlayStation Portable. Critics say there's nothing new about this almost everything is the same from First Departure in which players who played the latter release may get frustrated.

The story is brand new though which may interest all of the RPG fans out there, I read on IGN that this is highly recommended due to the success of the Star Ocean First Departure. In closing the reviewer said the this is better the the older release. It was given a score of 8.0 there. While gamespy criticize it because of the fact that again there's almost nothing new that maybe of interest although they gave it a score of "Great".

You may already know that I do not play RPG's so what I wrote here is just based on what I read from review sites. This is just to fill this site up and get on SERPS with high ranking so If you have anything to say opinions, clarifications or reactions share them via the comments below.

Need for Speed Undercover

Hello I am not sure if this is underground for real or it is undercover if you look at the bottom the name of the file is the first one mentioned but for sure I tested this and it is indeed working.

I am suppose to finish it but when I started this site my time got sucked by publishing more and more PlayStation Portable g4mes here. I don't know but when I unshared most the links I had to edit all the pages I created to get higher ranks on SERPs which a good thing for me. Wahhh noooooo I have shifted teh topic let's go back to NFS I am an avid fan of Need for Speed releases I patronize it during PS1's until now my own thoughts about this release is that it's superb they never change but they keep on improving and things are just getting better and better.

Okay that's all I want to say but can someone give me cheats to easily finish this like constant nitro? and by the way the requirements of this is again a console with Custom Firmware of any version :)

Bleach: Heat the Soul 6

This is a Japanese version and a new released fighting type from Eighting and Sony.

If you know the Anime series with the same title then you should already know what this is all about like the characters etc.

I was reading the details and found out the it is more of an action and I am not sure if it has a story mode which would be great.

What's new with this compared to other variants of the title are the characters and the modes.

Example are Nnoitra, Szayel Apporo Granz or Nel(Gamuza) which they call "Arrancar Resurrections"

A new Championship mode was added in which you can fight tournament style and a customization mode exclusive to this particular release.
